Welcome to
Peninsula Class of 88 Foundation

The Peninsula Class of 88 Foundation envisions a future in which all Peninsula High School Students have the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities regardless of family income.

Sign Me Up!

Approximately 28% of the student body at Peninsula High School is economically disadvantaged and enrolled in the Free and Reduced Meal program. Research shows that students from lower-income families are less likely to participate in extracurricular activities despite evidence showing a strong association between participation in such activities and improved attendance and student engagement, higher levels of achievement, and aspirations to higher levels of education.

The Foundation aims to eliminate this obstacle and encourage increased engagement among this population of students. The Foundation collaborates with teachers, staff, and community partners to solicit student referrals. The Foundation then provides the necessary funds to these partners and programs.

About Us We're Making A Difference!

In 2023, The Peninsula High School Class of 88 Foundation was established by alumni Scott Bush, Donovan Gladstone, and Gregg Harlowe. The three had been reminiscing about their shared experiences at Peninsula High School and how impactful extracurricular activities were while in school. They felt a need to give back to the school community that helped shape them and they hatched a plan. They have since been joined by a dedicated group of alumni and friends, all of whom are committed to creating opportunities for students at Peninsula High School to participate in extra-curricular activities regardless of family income.
